Principal product designer · Cambridge, MA
I solve the hard product questions, then build the answer.
I’m a product designer based in Cambridge, MA. Over 15 years, I’ve designed enterprise software, consumer apps, and products of my own. I work from research through detailed visual and interaction design, and use code and AI tools to build and test the work.

How I work
I stay involved from research through the finished interface.
I like being involved throughout a project: talking with customers, organizing the experience, testing ideas, and refining the interface. Typography, composition, and interaction details matter to me just as much as whether the product solves the right problem.
01
Product strategy & research
I use customer interviews, competitive research, and usability testing to help a team decide what to build and how to measure whether it helps.
02
Visual craft & systems
I work on information architecture, user journeys, typography, and interaction design. I also build shared systems for controls, charts, and states so a product feels consistent and remains accessible.
03
AI workflows & engineering
I use coding agents, Figma and Storybook MCPs, and CLI tools to build and test ideas. I also write production code and review what agents produce, including the interface details.
04
Team practice
I’ve built design teams, hired designers, and led critique. I work closely with product and engineering, explain the reasoning behind a design, and stay involved as it is implemented.
Connected product development
My process
Research helps me choose what to focus on. Prototypes and testing show what needs to change. After release, I use customer feedback and product data to plan the next improvements.
Operating principles
01
Learn how people work
I talk with customers, look at the tools they use, and work with the team to decide which problem we should tackle.
02
Test a specific question
Sometimes a flow sketch is enough. Other questions need an interactive prototype or working code. I choose the approach that helps us learn what we need to know.
03
Stay involved through implementation
I work with engineers on behavior, edge cases, and the visual details. Shared patterns and design reviews help us keep the experience consistent as it grows.
Experience
A career across product strategy, design, and shipped software.

Where I do my best work
I enjoy working with teams that want a designer involved from the early questions through the finished interface. I’m comfortable helping set the direction and doing the detailed work to get it built.
